Anderson Lab ~ Development and Function of the Autonomic Nervous SystemPrincipal investigator: Assoc Prof Colin Anderson
This laboratory works in two main areas of research on the autonomic nervous system; developmental neurobiology of sympathetic neurons and neurocardiology, the study of the nervous control of the heart.
Calbindin-immunoreactive neurons (red) in the rat stellate ganglion are targeted by preganglionic terminals (green) immunoreactive for calretinin. The neurons are part of the sympathetic innervation of the heart. Image © CR Anderson |
