Billie joined the lab as a research assistant in 2002. She runs the molecular biology section of the laboratory, and has had considerable success in characterizing ion channels at a molecular level. She completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in molecular genetics at the University of Melbourne, in the Department of Genetics.
