Hussain is is currently undertaking a PhD in physiology under the supervision of Associate Professor James Brock and Professor John Furness. His project will investigate changes in blood vessel function that occur following spinal cord injury.
Hussain has completed his Masters Degree in 2008 in clinical physiology, then his Honours in 2009, both from Griffith University, Australia. He was awarded a scholarship from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Saudi Arabia where he was working as teaching assistant.
