Maria is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Neuroscience, University of Szeged, Hungary. She completed her PhD in 2003 utilizing immunohistochemical and electron microscopical techniques to study the embryonal development of the human enteric nervous system.
Maria holds a Group of Eight European Fellowship, and this is her first visit to the University of Melbourne.
