Norman Saunders is Professor in the Department of Pharmacology. He has a distinguished career working on the blood-brain barrier and on neural responses to injury and repair in the central nervous system, at University College London and more recently in Australia. With Dr Mark Habgood he has pioneered the standardisation of methods for investigation of the consequences of spinal cord injury in animal models.
